It could have been hypothermia. Or it could have been the fact that they were floating on an overturned boat in the middle of the ocean with no people or land in sight for over 24 hours. Those situations tend to make people go crazy pretty darn quick.
Uh...Bautista, Sexson, Wilkerson, Vidro, Johjima's extension, the Bedard trade, Spiezio, Weaver, Silva. The M's had one winning season under Bavasi, never made the playoffs, and became the first team in MLB history to lose 100 games with a $100 million payroll.
I like this trade. We got rid...
Reports say Peterson was traded to the Lions for DT Cory Redding and a 5th round pick this year.

The guy who's team is at home playing Playstation and smoking pot right now is talking trash about a team that's going to get a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament. That makes total sense.
KJR isn't exactly the most credible source. So until I hear someone who actually knows what they're talking about say it, I'm not going to put too much stock into it.
Either way, like 18 said, if we could get Curry I wouldn't be too upset with losing Peterson.
I'm not the biggest Ichiro fan, but saying all of these stats mean nothing is letting your bias get the best of you. He produces better all around stats (besides power hitting) than anyone in the league. Last year he was the only Mariner who could consistently hit, the only outfielder who...
My expectations aren't quite as high. I see us being around .500 and finishing just behind Oakland and Anaheim. All I'm hoping for this year is that Griffey can knock out about 20 HR's, and Bedard has a career year so we can get a good deal for him at the trade deadline and finally get rid of...
Sources: Terrell Owens cut by Dallas Cowboys - ESPN
T.O. has been cut. I'm pretty shocked because Jerry Jones seemed to have a pretty big gay crush on this guy.
If we could trade Branch or Burleson, I'd be all for taking Crabtree. If we can't trade either one of those 2 then I'm rooting for trading down and addressing one of our other needs.
Great, we get to overpay for a soon to be 32 year old possession receiver who got 9.7 yards per catch and 4 TDs last year...
At least everyone here who was throwing a hissy fit about the Seahawks never signing big name free agents can finally stop with the overdramatic posts.
I read they were on a 21 foot boat in 5-7 foot seas. A boat that size with 4 big dudes on it doesn't do very well in seas that size. Hope they're alright...
What exactly did you guys expect us to do with the little cap space we had? There was no way we were going to get one of the big name guys in free agency this year. Considering how little money we had to spend, I like the few moves we've made. There was no way we were getting Haynesworth, and...

You can find the salary numbers for all of the players. The base salary doesn't always equal the player's effect on the cap.
TJ is too expensive. The guy is 31 years old and wants 10 mil a year. We already have 2 overpaid receivers, I don't want a third. Let him go to the Vikes and have a couple of backup quarterbacks throw him the ball.
It's a good year depth-wise for OT's, but there's not a single one that stands out amongst the rest. We could trade down, get a same caliber OT that we could have gotten at #4, and we don't have to pay a guy top 5 money to be a backup.
This has nothing to do with how good at football these guys are. It's just amazing to me that a 226lb kicker can out lift 300lb guys who make a living based on their strength.
I apologize, I must have forgot that height is the only thing that matters. That would explain why Billy McMullen (6'4") has had a much better career than Steve Smith (5'9"), Bobby Engram (5'10"), and Steve Largent (5'11"). Silly me...
