    Beer!

I'll take a well built beer over hard alcohol any time. The tastes are far more complex from good beer.

    Ben Roethlisberger?

He's a solid QB for sure. I wouldn't want him for purely subjective fan reasons. That and the fact that he seemingly keeps placing himself in terrible predicaments. If your WR or RB gets suspended or jailed or whatever, that hurts. If the person that is supposed to lead your team does, that...

    Hawks sign Reggie Williams

Too bad we won't really know how well they will work out before the draft in 6 days. Yes he was. He had one good season and was largely average or below average after that. He never came close to realizing his potential there.

    Hawks sign Reggie Williams

I read they signed Mike Williams as well.

    Beer!

Okay. Who's a beer freak here besides me (I brew my own)? I just got back from Beveridge Pub Place in West Seattle and they had a special night featuring Georgetown Brewing Company. I love Manny's Pale Ale, but tonight they were feature a cask of Chopper's Red Ale, which was mighty tasty, and...

    Gaither? Gaither Anyone???

Well, I have heard Williams will fit our zone scheme better than Okung will. And he wears #71. Fate? lol.

You the GM.... who would you pick?

Um. Nice job ripping up the OP for his misspellings then doing it yourself. :rotfl: And maybe I am misinterpreting you, but the following statement: seems to directly contradict what you said in your post immediately above it: In one post you say it is dumb to take a tackle if Berry is...

    New Marshall update

Link? YPC does mean that much. Without that nominalization, you have his 20 reception game clouding the stats. Even with that nominalization that one game clouds it. One fifth of his season's production, that's 20%, came out of one game. What about the other 15?

    New Marshall update

Carlson had seven. Our other receivers combined for eight. I agree with 96. Housh can do that if we get the burner on the outside. Something Marshall was not - as evidenced by his low YPC.

You the GM.... who would you pick?

Who is Tim Russet? Do you mean Tim Ruskell? And why do I have his opinion? If he has made such poor choices, why do I want it?
  11. SeaHawksHuddle

    New Marshall update

Meh. Marshall's YPC is relatively small. Of receivers with at least 50 receptions last season, Marshall ranked 40th in YPC. Not exactly blazing the field... >= 50 Receptions ordered by YPC

    Gaither? Gaither Anyone???

Why are they so interested in getting rid of him? I assume because they drafted Oher last year?

    Seahawks Interested in Lynch?

4th rounder? I say go for it. Especially since we have 2 4th rounders.
  14. SeaHawksHuddle

    New Marshall update

That's fine. They won't be using TWO picks on one WR. I don't feel confident about our WR corps. And if we had 3rd round picks, giving up two 2nd rounders probably would not have seemed so steep. But sitting out two high rounds in the draft two years in a row is a poor decision for a...

    Seahawks Interested in Lynch?

I agree you can't go Ruskell's way. But you also have to think swinging the pendulum the other way would have to have a similar effect. Dealing with a team stocked up with criminals doesn't sound like a great way to go to me. Sure, take some risks, but I wouldn't want the core of my team...

    Seahawks Interested in Lynch?

Why is it that our last FO wanted a bunch of pretty boys and this FO wants anyone with a rap sheet? Who's next? Pacman Jones? Plaxico Burress? Can't we find a middle ground?
  17. SeaHawksHuddle

    New Marshall update

So you all would prefer us to go from the 1st round to the 4th without any picks this year AND next year? Being starved for draft picks isn't exactly how you rebuild a program...

    Seahawks Future OT?

Let me hold your hand through this. Try to keep up. Here are all of Wags' posts clearly showing he never said "our 6th and 2 4ths would get it done": Sorry pal. Maybe YOU should read again. You had a theory they wanted to get out of the 2nd spot. I challenged your theory and you tried...

    Seahawks Future OT?

You never said that. Assuming you did say that, unless Detroit is stupid, they wouldn't give up a pick valued at 2600 points for two picks worth less than 2,000 points. You just wanted to mortgage the farm on a left tackle, which is fine if the tackle is a Walter Jones or more...

    Seahawks Future OT?

Who is going to give up the number two spot for a bunch of 4, 5, 6, and 7 rounders? Because, as you so eloquently put, you don't build franchises with them. So again, moving up would cost us too much, especially in a draft like this one. As far as Okung being the best, that depends on how you...
