Watchin the Fiesta Bowl now, yeah Kiko is an exciting player, has nose for the football.
Has no fear flying at the ball carrier.
Might be a good WLB certianly would be a hell of a special teams guy, like a captian of ST.
It hasnt been talked about much, but I think this years draft is exceptionally deep in the ILB/OLB Class.
There is great value in the mid rounders, but based on the combine I think some will accend into the top 3 rounds.
Here is a few that created a buzz and some thoughts on these special guys...
Sando and his stat compiling super computer..
While WR may not be 'Need' we definetly have some depth issues. Depth and talent drop off dramatically after Baldwin. Obo will be gone probably accornding M. Sando. So given all that, why not bring in a top prospect to challenge the outside...
I cant believe some of the time adjustments, Austin/Goodwin unofficial best time: 4.25.
Hunter 4.1
Hopkins was slower then I thought too. Still, put the pads on, he can play.
I liked Markus Davis too, big and fast WR probably 6th rounder.
think austin has the best shot, Hopkins I doubt, you watch, hunter got wheels. He hasnt got a lot of attention becuase he behind CP, but I like him as an outside, deep threat.
Okay maybe ELITE is too strong a word, ( i took it from Rob Rang) but.... I he might get sub 4.4 at the combine and thats f'in fast.
We are not getting CP, but keep dreaming Bob.
Like I said Hunter, would be solid 2nd round pick up, since we are so deep in the rounds.
Maybe we should start a draft thread...? Combine thread?
Lucky for us, from what ive heard/seen, this years draft has good top 4 round talent in the WR/DL positions.
Most mocks ive seen, ive been happy with the picks at that spot.
But knowing JS/PC .... "With the #25 pick, the seattle...
No DeAndre Hopkins? This guy is gonning to be a star at the next level.
Also i like http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1631952/datone-jones and he may fall to the 2nd round, though lately he has accended. I think he is good all purpose LE rotate with Red and even BI.
The nucleus is clearly here, but you cant just rely on the draft to compliment or fill needs, to get us over the top.
There will be some great rookies, but some flops too. FA is an important part of building. Exspecially if you think about the players we are loosing, Hill, Branch, J. Jones...
He is #24 in CBS rookie ranking, so it puts him right on our pick.
My thoughts on him:
He had an impressive Senior Bowl game, practice not so much. From Ghana, Africa, only started playing FB in 2010 so has tremendous upside. To me he seems have a week upper body, so not overwhelming power...
If he passes a physical and you can get him for a good price, say 4-5 M for a year, He adds to your rotation. Doesnt mean you pass on a DE in the draft, just puts it at a lower priority.
Kruger gonna get huge payday, and I think he'll be worth it, but remember he only had one year of...
The concern I have about Percy Harvin, is the whole headache thing. What is that all about? He passed out in practice... is this all a act because he is unhappy with his contract? And the man has a wonderlic of 12, so I worry about letting this guy become our #1 offensive weapon, because...
