The guys on ESPN's NFL Live are saying he is worth it, but I really don't think he is at all. Probably not even the 14th. I'd say a 2nd and Branch is a fair trade. If they want the 4th round pick as well, throw it in.
Anquan Boldin and 5th round pick to the Ravens for their 3rd and 4th round picks.
I'm surprised how little the Ravens had to give up. I was thinking he would go for a 2nd round pick. He is a tough WR, he can make a lot of players and will definitely help out the Ravens.
I'd rather the Hawks give them Branch and a 2nd round pick, but I think Marshall is worth the 14th pick. Especially since he's only 25 and his last 3 seasons have been great. Plus he's 6'4, that exploits all the small corners.
I think we posted at the same time. I was just saying he could also be coming to Seattle to negotiate a contract so when they do trade for him they can get a contract done.
ESPN seems to be jumping on the Seahawks trying to give Marshall an offer that the Broncos can't match rather than...
The 1st round pick would be if Marshall gets an offer that the Broncos don't want to match.
If the Seahawks give up a 2nd round pick and Branch for Marshall I'd be happy. He has a lot of talent and will definitely give the offense a boost at WR.
Not re-signing Burleson has changed the draft a lot for the Seahawks. I was thinking they would take an OT, DE and HB with the first 3 picks. Now I'd put WR as a priority over HB.
So why didn't his agent contact the GM? I'm sure the new Hawks GM felt like Burleson was going to come back no matter what so he didn't feel the need to get contract discussions going so quickly. The new GM has only signed a punter and two long snappers so it's not like he was going crazy...
