We could have gotten Aquan Boldin for less than what we gave up for Whitehurst. The contract side isn't that bad considering teams give a lot more money and years to college players coming into the NFL, but giving up a 3rd round pick and moving down in the 2nd seems like a lot for an unproven QB.
Just getting a DUI and not hurting anyone wouldn't be considered attempted murder at all. If someone who gets a DUI gets in an accident then I wouldn't be against it being called attempted murder.
I don't remember, but the legal limit for someone under 21 is .02 to accommodate for things like cough syrup. If you're over 21 and have a BAC under .08 you can still be arrested for a DUI if the cop thinks you are drunk enough to cause harm to yourself or others. Getting arrested for being at...
Branch was successful in New England when Josh McDaniels was the offensive coordinator. There is a good chance he can be successful again under that offense if he is given a chance.

This is a very bad deal, but obviously the Chargers and Seahawks know something about this guy that we don't. If I knew what they did I probably would consider it a good deal.
Hawthorne started 11 games, had 94 solo tackles, 4 sacks, 5 pass defections, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. He's also only 24 years old. If he was a restricted free agent I would put a 1st round tender on him.
I don't think Seattle will use a 3rd round pick on Whitehurst. If they do, the front office needs to be fired.
Everything I've been hearing and reading indicates that the Seahawks will trade for Whitehurst. It will most likely be something like a 4th round pick.
There are reports that Anderson has signed with the Cardinals. I've also been reading that Whitehurst wants to come to Seattle. Seattle would have to trade to get him though.
Just getting a DUI isn't attempted murder, but if you were driving at a high rate of speed and get in an accident then you could say it was attempted vehicular homicide...or something like that.
Anybody know if there will be a draft in 2011 if there is a lockout? It could really screw over the college players wanting to turn pro if there isn't one.
Yeah, they did. Someone on Twitter said something about the 4th round pick and Charlie Whitehurst so I was thinking they put a 4th round tender on him.
Nothing, he hasn't thrown in a regular season game. The Chargers put a 4th round tender on him, so if the Seahawks want him they'll have to give up a 4th in compensation.
Seems like the front office likes Whitehurst a lot. As long as they don't give up more than a 4th round pick in compensation I'm fine with the signing.
