As for Davis - have you watched any film on him? He looked slow and awkward in the combine because he is slow and awkward. He is over-hyped, and is a big bust-risk. Look for him and Bulaga to be playing OG in the NFL.

Well, I guess your assumption is that our franchise LT will be there at 6 but not at 14. And that Earl Thomas will make it to 14. I think you are wrong on both accounts, though. Berry is a better S, and if KC doesn't take him we HAVE to. It would be plain crazy to pass up on one of the best...
Not a big fan of Bulaga... at least not for a LT. RT maybe, LG certainly. He doesn't have the wingspan needed of a LT in the NFL and it will be an issue for him. Did anyone else watch Mayes in the combine? The guy just can't judge a ball in the air. And he suffers reading defenses. He can...
Sig, as much as I agree that the Lions should take Okung, I just don't see them having the guts to do it. It will impact the Hawks a lot if they do, so we'll see. I'm also not as high on Bulaga and his T-Rex arms.
I don't think you can trade down too far and still get Brown. San Fran, Pitts, GB, and Arizona all need OTs. And Brown is the most underrated OT in the draft... have you watched film on him? He shut down Cal's DE that gave Campbell fits. He's good...
2010 Draft Outlook - Go Hawks
Joe McNight isn't projected as a 2nd round talent, and Seattle may not have their pick at 40 come draft day (I think it is headed to Denver as part of a deal for Marshall). If he manages to slip out of the 3rd round and is there in the 4th round I can see us taking him, but J Best or Ryan...
Ugh... we simply can't give up on the talent that should be there at 6. Plus - Bulaga and Williams won't be LTs in the NFL, at least not next year. Trent may eventually grow into LT, but not immidiately, and Bulaga has OG written all over his short sleeves. And we don't need to draft 2 high O...
I'd rather draft Dez Bryant at 6. OK - maybe not, but no way do we give up our #6. #40 and Branch or 2nd and 4th and we send Branch to NE for a 4th Rd pick. Since NE is out of the Boldin auction they need to get Brady a WR. He wants Branch back.
Seattle has more leverage than Denver here. Marshall wants out and won't be in Denver after next season. Most teams won't touch Marshall because of the attitude. Seattle is willing to because Bates has the history with Brandon and thinks it will be a good meshing. There isn't a team out...
Marshall will be in Seattle tomorrow, and a trade is likely imminent. However, it will be a TRADE - not a tender offer giving them our pick at #6. No way is Marshall worth that pick.
If the Seahawks get Marshall it won't be as a tender offer - it will be agreeing to terms with Brandon and making a trade. I've heard that Branch and our pick at 40 is what is being discussed.
That is Brady's call I think... what is circulating in NE is that he likes Branch and wants him back. Not sure why he'd want Branch over Bolden, but maybe. Or maye we throw in Ben and Branch. I'd be happy just getting a little something for Branch and having him move to a different system.
I was mixing threads. Someone was talking about Seattle trying to get Bolden. I can't say I'd mind, but he can't seem to make it through a season healthy. I kinda like my scheme to get him, though.
I don't know how you pass on Bradford at #14. Granted, I think next year will have a better selection of QBs, but unless we have a 4 win season the price to get high enough to get one will be pretty high. Not to mention the price of the contract. Getting Bradford at 14 would be worth the risk...
The Seahawks must be thinking they can get Okung at 6 or Charles Brown at 14... they didn't tender Frye which really surprises me. Maybe he isn't healing well.
A third round pick is a little high for Branch, but considering where the Pats draft this year, that trade would make sense. As for...
I'd be ecstatic about getting Berry at 6 and Brown at 14. then just maybe J Best would fall to 40. Still not sold on Bulaga. He screams guard to me. Even if we get Brown, I'm not sure he'll be starting this year.
Granted, I'd take Okung first, but there isn't much of a chance he'll fall that far. However, most mocks do have Berry there at #6. He'd be a sick addition that can play on the corner or at safety.
NFL Videos: Top performer: Eric Berry
OK - if you opt out of lifting because you don't want to do poorly, and turn in a 5.72 40, how bad would his bench effort had been? And with the size of his chest, how hard is it to bench? He only has to drop the bar a few inches doesn't he?
I wouldn't say he is being overlooked - Williams will be the best RT in this draft, and may be able to make the step to the left side. His arms aren't quite as long as they'd like, and he isn't as strong as most want in a LT, but his combine work moved him from just a RT to a potential LT. Not...
