To Lions for a 4th rounder most likely, but it would be an early 4th rounder! There are tons of great players projected to go in the 4th that the Hawks could pick up. The other rumor is the Lions and Seahawks switch first round picks; their 2nd overall for our 6th overall in exchange for Sims or...
Morgan for sure, Campbell isn't that good, he's only in consideration because of his impressive combine but that doesn't make him a first round pick! I would rather wait untill the 4th round to take an OT than take Campbell in the first.
I would like to see the offensive and defensive line addressed with our two first round picks. A Williams (Trent and Dan) first round would be ok with me. Someone I want in the later rounds who is way off the radar is G Mike Johnson from Alabama. 6-6 312 pounds and is a perfect fit for a zone...
Derrick Morgan would be a strong pick. Campbell is overrated. I like Trent Williams, Anthony Davis and Brian Bulaga much better at OT. I would say best available player at #6 and an OT at 14.
My thinking on Seahawks biggest needs:
Offensive Lineman: We need to draft a franchise Left Tackle in the first round badly, in fact some more lineman in the later rounds couldn't hurt either.
Defensive End/Defensive Tackle: We need to get to the Quarterback, if we don't we are not going to be...
How do safeties fit in here? They just said two field goals or a touchdown wins which would lead me to believe that you have to have six points to win but that would make a safety useless other than you get the ball back.
I'm really hoping we could trade down into the late first with our 14th pick; there will still be good OL left and we can get at least one more draft pick to help out.
We don't need a TE I forgot about Carlson, I'm not sure how I forgot our best draft pick in the last five years! (besides Lofa) Jury is still out on QB, though I think Whitehurst will be good.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's better to pay $5 million a year (actually $4 with $2 in incentives) over the next two years and lose a third rounder than draft a QB high in the first round and pay him $30 million dollars guaranteed. I like this trade.
