I once thought that way too. But nah, I'm ok with it now. I think somehow the talking fuels his inner fire and it's just the way he's wired. Being quiet is just not his game. That's Lynch's game and Okung's game but not Sherman's.

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

I don't think Wilson's digressing. I don't think he's playing his best ball right now but that's not exactly the same deal. I'm not sure that it's on Wilson or that he's digressing. I know the passing game as a whole has taken a bit of a dive though. Ok, take the Saints game out of the...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

I was just checking Wilson's stat line from last season's game. 15/21, 171 yards, 4 TD, 1 pick, 29 rushing yards, 115.3 QB rating. They were 11/13 on 3rd down conversions. As for the game earlier this year, I was aware of the crap stats Wilson put up in that game. That was also the 2nd game...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

In the last meeting here, all we had to worry about was Boldin. No Crabtree and Vernon Davis was injured. Now we can't just key on Boldin because of the other two. And Boldin is playing like a beast right now. A few posts back the subject of experience was brought up. Experience definitely...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

3 total points and 7 punts in the 2nd half isn't exactly what I'd call ball control. They're gonna be needing more than that. Stats might not matter but consistency does. At least be more efficient. And this time around it's likely the weather won't be as much of a factor.

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

I was referring to road games in the playoffs. You're referring to the Super Bowl and a neutral field. Technically a different deal. But he's actually 3-0 on the road in the playoffs, not 4-0 so in that regard I was off after all. I forgot the GB game last year was at home. Don't count...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

Actually I wasn't. By itself an argument could be made that it was strictly situational football if not for the fact that the Hawks' issues with the passing game precede the Saints game. You can't look at the stats in a vacuum, I definitely agree with that. But you also can't look at the win...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

They need the passing game to get those 3rd down conversions too, otherwise they just keep turning the ball back to the other team and they keep giving the opposition way too many opportunities to win. Against the Saints, they lost the time of possession, even with Lynch running for 140...

    Congrats SF 16 8 80!

That might have had something to do with it but on the other hand the passing game has been in the tank for 4-5 weeks now. Wilson doesn't need to torch the place throwing the ball but he's gotta be closer to 200 than 100, otherwise the Niners stack the box and it gets easier for them to stop...

Michael Bennett calls Jimmy Graham 'soft,' 'overrated'

When I heard about the talking and stuff before the game, I chalked it up to a little gamesmanship or psych warfare or something but it turns out it was a bit more than that going on. Seems to me like it got to Graham more than anyone else.

    Ugly wins are still wins

I was wondering the same thing about not challenging the call on the fumble. It was CLEARLY a fumble and since the penalty happened after what would have been the change of possession (via outcome of the review) and a dead ball foul, the turnover would have stood. Maybe someone upstairs didn't...

    Ugly wins are still wins

Andy Dalton comes immediately to mind. It's now becoming apparent why Pete and John didn't take him in the draft when they had the chance. Just another example of them getting thrown under the bus at the time and it's turning out that maybe they knew something that all the armchair GMs didn't.

    Ugly wins are still wins

I've got it pegged on the pass protection. The run blocking was phenomenal and it helped put Lynch in beast mode today. But the pass blocking has been the worst it's been since the start of 2011 when Tjack was getting the crap beat out of him. A less mobile QB than Russ would have been...

    Ugly wins are still wins

That is true. We did get the running game back today so that lends optimism for the passing game. But right now it's dead. I don't know but Wilson seems a little discombobulated and the pass protection's not helping. That issue shrinks the margin a bit and was the reason why the Saints got...

Bob Rivers does great Seahawk parody's

They're all funny as hell but I also gotta give it to Sweet home field advantage. Frisco Coach too. Gotta love Bob Rivers. My favorite twisted tune of all time was the Joan Osborne parody 'Cannabis'.

Seahawks 2013 Regular Season MVP ?

When I first read the title I thought it was referring to next season too. The 2014 season hasn't been played yet.

    Christine Michael

Now that you mention that, as well as how well Lynch can hit the holes, I remember the main knock on Lynch when he first came here was that he used to dance around in the backfield too much before hitting the hole. He was coached up on the issue and now look at him.

Actually Trent is a power back and with power backs 4.45 is actually pretty darn good. 4.45 is faster than Lynch, Gore AND Lacy and is faster than the majority of D-linemen and linebackers trying to run him down and is fast enough to offset the speed of many DBs so running him down from behind...
