Julius Jones on Trading Block?

According to the NFL Football Post Julius Jones was on the trading block throughout the NFL Draft Weekend and still very well maybe on the block. It makes sense with the trades acquiring Lendale White and Leon Washington, but the Post has had it's "miss reported" stories over the years. Among a few of my favorites:
TJ Houshmandzadeh signing with the Vikings last year and Mike Holmgren accepting the position with the Seahawks as GM.
So for me to believe there report will take another site to support it, but it does make sense. Jones appears to be the odd man out and I still think Justin Forsett will return as a return specialist, but Pete Carroll has said Golden Tate will have opportunities to return kicks and punts.

i think Pete will give Justin carries.... there is know way that he doesn't after the performance he had last year and behind a crappy line.... I think he will be much more then a return specialist. IMO

Returning punts and kicks wasn't even a strength of his. Forsett is going to get carries.

Washington is recovering from a severe injury, he's got a metal rod in his leg. Don't expect him to come in here day one, and run a 4.4 forty. He is still recovering, and it is still uncertain if he'll make a full recovery.

I think it's going to be Lendale and Forsett to start the season...

the reason he was cut the first time was his fumbles on returns. Tate will be the new return guy no doubts.

last post was on Forsett

JJones traded? Who would take him AND his salary when they can just wait and get him dirt cheap after he is waived.

Yeah the latest speculation I'm reading is Lendale and Forsett could both split carries during the season and might even compete in Training Camp for more carries.

Seahawks have still kept the "we will not cut Julius Jones", but of course they'll say that if they're trying to trade him. I do think he will be cut no later than the Tuesday we need to have our 53-man roster set. However a lot of players have been let go today and who knows maybe he's next.

I sure hope JJ and Deion Branch get cut soon!

I know the hawks "really like" JJ and Branch, but if that's all part of making them more appealing as draft bait. In reality, PC doesn't want two aging, overpaid and WAY under performing players on his team. There is no room on this team for these two douche bags.

If JJ doesn't get cut, it will make me seriously question what the hell is going on... he came in here as a "big" free agency signing two years ago. He hasn't done anything for us and yet he is still here, and was starting even though he was getting out played. He must have some pictures of Paul Allen doing something....?

Yeah with the two big trades during the draft I thought for sure Jones is gone and I still think that way no matter how it happens he's not here this season.

Let's trade him to the Redskins. They seem to like crappy RBs who once had popular names ie. Willi Parker, Larry Johnson, and to some degree Clinton Portis.

Haha couldn't agree more. JJ has been under acheiving ever since Bill Parcels took him one pick in front of Steven Jackson in the 2003 draft. If we could get anything north of a turd sandwich I say we make the deal. :butcher:

An interesting move that I've heard nothing of, but if I was Seattle would look into would be Miami. Ricky has stated he wants to retire after the 2010 season and Ronnie Brown isn't signed past the 2010 season. He's familiar with Parcells and it could be a situation that might come up as training camp nears or even week 6 if an injury to one of the two comes up.

Nevermind, looks like the Foreskins want to land Westbrook.
