Starting to wonder if we are going to have more TD's are player arrests.

Our locker room has quite a rap sheet.

I'm proud of the NW but really starting to wonder if this Seahawk team belongs in Seattle or Oakland or Cincinatti.

We just pick up Braylon Edwards:
Edwards has often been in trouble with the law as he has been pulled over several times over the last eight years for speeding violations. The most recent of which was in October 2008 when he was pulled over for driving 120 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Two days before being traded to the New York Jets, on October 5, 2009, Edwards reportedly punched Edward Givens, a local party promoter, in the face at 2:30 A.M. outside of the View Ultralounge & Nightclub. Givens, who is an acquaintance of LeBron James, alleged that Edwards was jealous of James' success thus prompting Edwards' attack. This prompted James to call the incident "childish." On October 26, 2009, Edwards was charged with misdemeanor assault and later plead no contest to the charge of aggravated assault on January 12, 2010. Edwards was given a suspended 180-day jail sentence, was fined $1,000 and placed on inactive probation. Though Edwards offered no explanation or apology for his actions, he reportedly regretted the entire ordeal according to his lawyer. The NFL did not suspend Edwards for his actions.
On September 21, 2010, Edwards was arrested on a drunken driving charge in New York early in the morning. He was originally pulled over for having excessively tinted windows on his Range Rover. Police smelled alcohol on Edwards who blew 0.16—twice the legal limit. He was arrested on a DWI charge. He is still on probation for the altercation that occurred in October 2009.

And Brock:

On the morning of November 13, 2010, Brock was pulled over after being observed driving 85-90 mph in a 60 mph zone. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .133; the legal limit in Washington is .08. Later breath tests at the University of Washington Police Department measured Brock's BAC at .115 and .111. On December 6, 2011, more than a year after his DUI arrest, Brock was charged with driving under the influence. The King County prosecutor's office reportedly lost the file and only found it after a journalist from Philadelphia inquired about the status of the case.
On June 16, 2011, Brock was arrested for walking out on a $27 bar tab. On November 23, 2011, Brock was convicted of theft stemming from the $27 bar tab incident. He is appealing.
Then there's Beast Mode:

On June 14, 2006, Lynch was the victim of mistaken identity when unknown assailants shot at his car outside his high school alma mater as he was about to visit his little sister on her graduation day. He was not the intended target of the shooting, and no one was injured. The shooter phoned Lynch's mother to apologize.
On January 25, 2007, Lynch was accused of sexual assault by his former girlfriend. The incident reportedly happened on December 13, 2006, outside the woman's home in Emeryville, California. On January 29, 2007, an Alameda County Deputy District Attorney who specializes in domestic violence cases declined to press charges, citing a lack of evidence and "grave inconsistencies" in the alleged victim's accusations. Lynch was never arrested or charged.
On March 3, 2007, an Alameda County judge threw out a restraining order that Lynch's ex-girlfriend had issued against him because it was obtained improperly.
During June 2008, Lynch was investigated for his involvement in a hit and run accident that occurred in Buffalo on May 31, 2008. His 2008 Porsche Cayenne struck and injured Kimberley Shpeley, of Ontario, Canada, before leaving the scene. It should be noted that Shpeley was extremely intoxicated, and dancing in the middle of the street. After the 27-day saga, on June 26, 2008, Lynch apologized and accepted a guilty plea to a single count of failure to exercise due care to avoid striking a pedestrian, a traffic violation. He was assessed a $100 fine, and his driver’s license and car registration were revoked. Because a Buffalo police officer gave testimony that Shpeley did not suffer "severe physical injury," Lynch avoided criminal charges for the incident. Lynch was later sued by Shpeley on December 28, 2009 for negligence.
Three days after his 2009 Pro Bowl appearance, Lynch was arrested on February 11 in Culver City, California. Lynch and two companions were sitting in a running 2006 Mercedes-Benz when police approached; after smelling marijuana, the police searched the car and discovered a loaded gun that was determined to belong to Lynch. He was released the same day after posting $35,000 bail. Lynch's felony charge was reduced to three misdemeanors, and no drug charges were filed. On March 5, Lynch pled guilty to a single misdemeanor gun charge and was sentenced to three years of probation, and 80 hours of community service. He also agreed to submit to police searches at any time. The two other misdemeanor gun charges were dismissed.
Lynch was accused of stealing $20 from the wife of a Buffalo police officer in a local TGI Friday's on December 7, 2009. A complaint was filed against him the next day but no charges were ever filed.
On July 15, 2012, Lynch was arrested in the Oakland area in the investigation of DUI.

Bruce Irvin has a checkered past but seems to have put it behind him. The ganster locker room can't be making it easy though:

What about any of that makes those guys "gangsters?" I mean, yeah Lynch is ghetto but a one sided story about a fight Edwards got into and a couple DUIs doesn't mean these guys have character issues. Lapses in judgment? Absolutely, but these guys aren't thugs.

Ok, Lynch does have a history and he is from the hood. Like Bob says, most of his issues are from a lapse in judgment and probably some immaturity also. Not defending the DUI, nor anyone who drives drunk, but to quote a pretty famous dude form the Bible, "He who is without sin (insert ever driven drunk/intoxicated) among you, let him be the first to throw a stone.". Again, not defending, just saying....

Brock isn't even on the team... so... moot point.

Edwards was just signed. This is training camp. There's a good chance he doesn't even make the team.

Irvin - The kid had a less than ideal upbringing. He made some mistakes, but he seems to have overcome them. I would actually commend him for overcoming those things and not becoming a statics (in a gang, dead or in jail) all circumstances considered. The whole sign incident was bullshit and could've happened to any college kid and was blown waaaaay out of proportion because he was an NFL draft prospect.

So even if you consider the 4 dudes you mentioned, that is a tiny sample number considering there are 90(?) dudes in there during training camp and 53 during the season.

What is the point of the video? Why are they gangsters? Cause most of them are black, cause they listening to rap music, toss bean bags? How about Matt McCoy? He's white, does that offset the gangster'ness?? Maybe you should start watching tennis or Lacrosse… way less “gangsters” playing in those sports.

I was just thinking about getting a new poster for my son but there doesn't seem to be any that are good role model material.

Sure there are....

Flynn, Thomas, Rice, Unger, Mike Rob, Trufant, Mebane... Those are all high character guys who have not had off-field issues. They may not be Shaun Alexander, but they're all pretty recognizable and all good guys.

I was surprised by how well TJ did last year but hope that Flynn can bring some heart back to the team.

I think I'll wait and see how the season unfolds before rolling up the Holmgren era posters.
