I get that. But fans see a very small percentage of what analysts and coaches see. So my question is, besides fans, who thinks Forsett is the Seahawks long term solution?
What squirreljack describes in his last post is that Forsett is PART of the long term answer. Which is fine. But that...
Who is "they?" The only people I hear saying Forsett is a long term solution are fans. And when Alexander was faultering in 2006 and 2007, those same fans were calling for Morris to be the long term solution.
As for Green not being a long term solution at the time, that is not true either...
We were talking about at the time when Green left Seattle. Green at that time was way better than Forsett is right now. I would like to hope you wouldn't argue against that.
Ahman Green > Justin Forsett. And he was good here in Seattle. Better than Forsett is here. We gave Green plenty of chances and he fumbled them away, literally. It's too bad he couldn't figure out how to hold on to the ball here, because it would have been killer to have Alexander and Green...
This debate reminds of all the Morris talk that went on for years on this board. And what happened to Morris? Couldn't carry the load.
I like Forsett. I do. But I don't trust him in a premier role long term.
He is NOT quick. His 40 times were awful.
Our best long term option is him as a back up to some other running back currently not on the Seattle Seahawks.
You're telling me that you think he is a legitimate number one running back that can be mentioned in the same groups as LT, Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Frank Gore, Steven Jackson, Brandon Jacobs, Rashard Mendenhall, Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or even Beanie Wells? Really?
I will be happy if...
LOL @
Come on. Forsett run for over 100 for two games. Even Alexander did that in 2006 and 2007. And Jones has done that several times while here. I think both Jones and Forsett suck as premier backs, because neither are. We shouldn't have let Weaver go. Just like the rest of the...
You need to remember a key phrase Leweike said:
"Whoever it is, they will join us. We will not join them."
To me that says the organization will not give the next GM unlimited power to remake the team in his image. Would Holmgren accept that? No idea. I still am not convinced he is even...
I think the green paired with the navy sleeves and pants looked awful. Especially with the Seahawk blue helmet. I think if they went with their normal pants and if the blue on the sleeves was the blue of their normal home jerseys, then the green wouldn't look all that bad.
How many times has Freak posted something like this? Jesus. What is your mancrush with Holmgren anyways? Hiring him would be as big of a risk as hiring anyone. We should hire the best available person and that does not necessarily equal Holmgren.
Thank you, scott, for reposting that link...
