    Game Day -Tampa Bay

Well, gonna have to temper those predictions. This isn't the same team that it was. A loss today would be catastrophic.

    Rice has torn ACL

Still though, he probably wasn't quite as strong and power-oriented as Lynch. And if I'm not mistaken, I think Lynch is also slightly faster than Shaun was in his prime. Shaun was one of the slowest RBs in the league with 4.65 speed. I couldn't ever quite put a finger on how Shaun did what he...

    Rice has torn ACL

I agree. One thing I can't figure out though. Why did Shaun typically get 15-20+ TDs a season while Lynch only gets around 10? He should get at least 1 rushing TD just about every game. Since Lynch isn't a burner, he needs a gap to run through. Not a big one but even he can't just bull over...

    Rice has torn ACL

They were playing it like that. The Rams were I mean. They were stacking 8 in the box for a substantial part of that game which is why it was so difficult for Lynch to get yards. Compounding the problem was the backfield penetration off the snap the Rams were getting on almost every play, not...

    Rice has torn ACL

I was holding out hope that Rice would re-emerge as the season went on. But you're right, as it is now, we're only losing about 2 receptions and 20-30 yards a game going by what he's done so far. Can't help but wonder if he's played his last game as a Seahawk.

    Not good news.

What if we tie San Francisco ?

They beat the Rams in St. Louis 34-10 and they pretty much dominated throughout. Last night we got dominated by the same team on the same field. That game last night showed where the Hawks are right now and it's not where they want to be. Red flags all around. Something can be said about the...

What if we tie San Francisco ?

Run defense was one question mark I had coming into the season. There was little doubt the pass rush was going to be much improved but with the new guys on the line coming in it was tough to tell if the run defense would improve or regress. It's been looking pretty good so far which is...

What if we tie San Francisco ?

I wasn't exactly sure what 'Strength of Victory' meant or how it was determined so I had it going all the way down to strength of schedule, which would also favor the Niners for the same reason strength of victory does. Bob makes a good point but the main point of even discussing tiebreakers...

Seems most everyone has Denver in SB already.

Oh you mean her reaction to Wilson getting drafted by the Seahawks in the 3rd round, I remember now. A parody of the psycho scream on the original album art. LOL

SF 16 8 80: What's the story on that Pink Floyd image in your sig? Never seen that one before. That kinda looks a bit like Russell Wilson's wife Ashton.

Good by Don James, we will miss you.

Husky football fans didn't realize how good we had it until he was gone. It's been 20 or so years and the program still hasn't gotten back to the level they were at under the James years. I guess he had a place in Lakeland Village near Allyn for a while after he retired.

Fair enough. But if that's what you call Manning looking like dog shit sitting in a crock pot on high for 12 hours and he racks up 386 yards anyway, I'd hate to see what he does on a good day. I'm no Manning fan but I think all the stuff I keep hearing about him not being able to handle the...

386/3/1 and 33 points. That I think would pass as "getting it done." Or at least in most circumstances if you're not giving up 39. After all these years playing in the league you still think he thinks like a naive rookie? One thing that makes Manning the QB he is is respecting and therefore...

    Observations at 6-1

The O-line is playing ok considering the injuries. That's where the key lies. This team will go as far as the O-line takes them. All the rest is set.

Denver's issue wasn't Manning. He still racked up 386 yards 3 TD and a pick while throwing at a secondary that was toe to toe with their WRs all night long. As well as Indy played, Denver still should have probably won that game so I wouldn't exactly describe that as Manning being "sunk"...

    NFC West

I guess you call that a PUI. Been guilty of that myself a few times and posted some pretty wacked out stuff when looking back on it later

    NFC West

You wouldn't believe how many Niner fans mention the Hawks' 7-9 division title a few years back as an insult or as a one-up in any discussion about the two teams. As if winning the division that year was somehow worse than losing the division in a year where 7 wins was all it took to get it...

    NFC West

No team is invincible, I don't imply anyone is. But it took some wicked defensive play by the Giants to knock that Patriot team off its perch. Oftentimes the Giants went with a 3-man rush while throwing the kitchen sink back in pass coverage. The Chargers and Jags tried the same thing but...
