Chris Spencer injured his quad in the second quarter of Saturday's 27-13 win over Denver. He is the third lineman starter to go down with an injury since camp started:
-Mike Wahle- let go due to shoulder injury that suffered in 2008.
-Walter Jones- knee surgery this past week.
-Chris Spencer- 2nd time injured this camp.

Look for Max Unger and Steve Vallos to see an increase in snaps this week along with Grey Ruegamer most likely returning from an injury it could get a nice battle brewing at the center position.

I thought he was released then retired the next day..

I believe he failed a physical and then retired.

He failed a physical so they let him go and that forced him to retire or better yet allowed him to do so.
