The Seahawks used their final pick in the NFL Draft to select USC linebacker Malcolm Smith.
The 6-foot, 226-pound Smith obviously played for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll when he was with the Trojans.
Smith, selected No. 242 overall with a compensatory pick, joins a draft class that also includes: Alabama tackle James Carpenter (first round); Wisconsin guard John Moffitt (third round); Mississippi State linebacker K.J. Wright and Georgia wide receiver Kris Durham (fourth round); Stanford cornerback Richard Sherman and Appalachian State safety Mark LeGree (fifth round); Clemson cornerback Byron Maxwell (sixth round); and LSU defensive end Pep Levingston (seventh round).
