A look at the memorable – and not-so-memorable – moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Dec. 15:
1984: The Seahawks’ 12-4 regular season ends with a 31-14 loss to the Broncos at the Kingdome, despite Dave Krieg passing for 334 yards and two touchdowns and the defense intercepting John Elway four times.
1985: The Seahawks generate 201 yards of total offense in a 13-3 loss to the Raiders in Los Angeles as Marcus Allen runs for 109 yards and the game’s only touchdown.
1991: The Seahawks are shutout in the first half of a 26-13 loss to the Falcons in Atlanta. John Kasay kicks a pair of 43-yard field goals and Dave Krieg throws a touchdown pass in the second half, but it’s not enough to offset Deion Sanders intercepting two passes and scoring on a third as he runs 55 yards after taking a lateral from Tim McKyer.
1996: The Jaguars score 13 points in the fourth quarter in pulling out a 20-13 victory over the Seahawks in Jacksonville as Jimmy Smith catches eight passes for 124 yards, including two touchdown passes from former University of Washington QB Mark Brunell.
2002: Shaun Alexander scores on a 27-yard run in overtime to give the Seahawks a 30-24 victory over the Falcons in Atlanta. The Seahawks took a 24-17 as Willie Williams returns a fumble 25 yards for a TD and Rian Lindell kicks a 43-yard field goal with 1:55 to play in regulation, but Michael Vick throws a TD pass with 17 seconds left to tie the game. Alexander finishes with 127 yards and two touchdowns, while Koren Robinson catches nine passes for 143 yards.
