Update Thursday 10:21 a.m.: The Seahawks have re-signed RB Michael Robinson.

The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly agreed to a contract with veteran wide receiver Sidney Rice, according to at least two reports.

The deal, which is not finalized, would be a five-year contract worth $44 million with $18.5 million the contract guaranteed according to ESPN.

The 24-year old wideout had an injury shortened 2010 season, playing in 6 games because of hip surgery. He caught 17 passes for 280 yards and 2 TDs.

His best season came in 2009 when he caught 83 passes for 1,312 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Stay tuned.

This is a great pick up for the Hawks. At least Jackson will have a familiar target to throw to.
