    The Perfect Draft?

2010 NFL Draft: Top 10 Small-School Prospects | Bleacher Report this was from a few weeks ago but everything i have heard about veldheer says he is a late 2nd but could fall to the 5th.

    The Perfect Draft?

I like it and would be all for it. Dont think cam thomas will make it out of round 2 with all of the 3-4 teams looking for a NT...especially to round 4 but you never know. Veldheer is projected late 2nd to 3rd round...i dont see him goin in the 7th round that would absolutely be a miracle and a...

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

bears dont have a 1st rounder. which is sort of the reason they were so aggressive in free agency acquiring peppers and taylor.

spencer or simms. its already known they want to get rid of simms. so either way.

Jets fan picking for Seattle in a mock

Ya I dont like taking either Campbell or Morgan at 6. One of them will likely be there at 14. If Okung isnt there at 6 then you can assume that Eric Berry or Gerald Mccoy will, so that would be the pick at 6. If thats the case then the best LT available should be the 14th pick. Whether that be...

    The Perfect Draft?

I like both scenarios...probably the 2nd one better. Earl Thomas is rated higher than Eric Berry from a few people as the top safety in the draft. Therefor if we got our franchise LT in Bulaga and who many believe the best safety in the draft...at least 2nd best than that would be a picture...

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

If you read what i said, Clemons who they got in the trade for Tapp is perfect for a 3-4 rushing linebacker. Yes he played DE for Philly, but he weighs 240 pounds and much like Elvis Dumerville was moved to outside linebacker in Denver's 3-4 i can see them doing that with him. So them picking up...

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

Depending on what we do with the 6th pick i would love that...if he falls to 14. Some people have him going top 12 but he is an absolute beast. Would be good in a 4-3 or 3-4. Is your prototypical NT. Cam Thomas from UNC may also be available with the 60th pick. He is also a prototypical NT and...

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

No one said we were going to a 3-4. It was a question. Since some of the moves we have made: acquiring depth at the linebacker position, trading tapp for clemons who is perfect for a 3-4 rushing linebacker, and possibly getting alex brown who many 3-4 teams are trying to acquire. The question...

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

Just read this after I wrote my response. But from what I read he is being looked at by a lot of 3-4 teams so im thinking he is a good fit as a 3-4 end. At least he is regarded as one by a number of teams.

    Alex Brown for Rob Sims?

Interesting. I'd be down too. I read he is being considered by a lot of teams that run a 3-4 defense. Is this another piece of carroll and schneider compiling a 3-4 defense? Only thing really missing would be a big NT. There are a few of those in the draft, one being Dan Williams from Tennessee...

    New Marshall update

i dont think there have been talks or anything about that deal being made. it is not a rumor or anything. i think it was speculation from the writer. probably a personal opinion of how a deal COULD develop between the two teams.

    New Marshall update

i think what i read on that link is that the trade could involve us sending sims, spencer, our 2010 2nd rd pick, and the ealgles 2010 4th rd pick for marshall, and their 2010 3rd rd pick. to me i think that has a lot of value for denver. they are getting 2 young interior lineman that have lots...

OL Chester Pitts visits with Hawks

i dont care if they were big guys or not. basketball is way harder on the knee then football is. in basketball you are constantly running up and down the court on HARDWOOD, making quick cuts, jumping. im not saying football isnt hard on the knees, but unless you are a running back basketball...

    New Marshall update

was the point of this to show the hawks can get a good receiver in a late round? if it wasnt i dont see the relevance. he has been one of the top 3 receivers in the league so his 40 time and pick in the draft dont serve any purpose in evaluating him.

OL Chester Pitts visits with Hawks

jason kidd, john stockton, zach randolph. kidd and stockton were both over the age of 30 when they had the surgery. both returned back to normal form by the start of the next season. im just saying, surgery affects people in different ways.

OL Chester Pitts visits with Hawks

2 years ago walter jones was 34 not 31. Just because one lineman didnt come back from a microfracture surgery doesnt mean another cant. Surgery is weird, people react differently to the same procedures. Im not saying they should sign the guy to a multi year big contract, but i think a 1 or 2...

OL Chester Pitts visits with Hawks

Ya he is a vet. Knows Gibbs zone blocking scheme though. Is versatile on the line. Most importantly like Hawk096 said he will be the perfect guy to help the young guys on our line as well as any young lineman that may be coming in through the draft. Even if they sign him I still believe that...

New NFL overtime rule approved 28-4

Ah I dont know what to think of this new rule yet. I get that they dont want a field goal to decide the game, but that is a key part of the game as well. There are 3 parts to a team: offense, defense, and special teams. If you lose the flip your defense has every opportunity to stop the offense...

    Lockout a 14 on scale 1 to 10

I agree with you but the percentage of retired football players that go bankrupt is ridiculous, you would be surprised. I believe what I read was 78% of retired football players go bankrupt after they retire. Do i think they need to make more money? Absolutely not. I think they need to enroll...
