I'd be surprised if PC didn't draft a USC guy too, however, I'm hoping he's intelligent enough to wait for day 2. Maybe if some USC guy drops way down from where he is valued, PC will take him, but I would be surprised if he reached for his 'guys' in the draft.
If anything, he should wait...
Hasselbeck missed quite a bit of time and has played hurt most of the season.
I'd say our biggest problem is scouting. How we can keep JJ ahead of Forsett is beyond me. How did we let Hutch go? How did we keep Alexander on or pay him so much when he was done? Whoever scouts RB or Offensive...
Last year with Holmgren, we went 4-12, with a worse offense AND defense. We do have 5 wins this year and that is improvement. Not a lot, but improvement.
We don't want to be a team that cycles through coaches every year or two. I don't think Mora has done so extremely bad that he should be...
Coaching staff out coached... I don't know about this one. When Holmgren first came to town, the same thing pretty much happened. Eventually, guys figured it out and were able to play.
The problem right now, is we don't know who can play in this offense. I'm pretty sure Hasselbeck can, but...
I haven't felt like this in years, but I must admit, that past couple of weeks have made me grateful I couldn't watch the games. Listening to them on the radio is bad enough. If I had shelled out the cash for Sunday Ticket, I'd be feeling unbelievably miserable.
I can't believe I started...
I like Forsett returning kicks too. I just don't know where that angry attitude will come from? Who is going to say, "OK. These guys are ours now. Let's run right over the top of them." Maybe its Duckett? I don't know. Felt very confident entering last season, and everything fell apart.
Re: Seahawks Free Agent Daily Reports
Let's be honest here. San Diego cannot draft or develop wide receivers. Have they developed one since the powder blue days? I can't think of one. They have had success signing some free agents, but they have had issues developing anyone to be a WR.
Thanks for the update! Love to hear what you get in the local papers. Out here I get NOTHING! LOL...
Just glancing through the list, I can't help but feel empty looking at RB and OL. I would hope guys like Unger, Wrotto and Willis have a shot at winning the starting job. I've been less...
Wow...
I think most of the guys I like have already raised the flag...
How about :
Jacob Green
Ricki Watters
Sam Adams
If one of these has been there/done that then:
Ron Heller
Or
Deshone Myles?
Obviously who I'd most like to raise the flag is myself; but that and all other football dreams...
:!:
This could go on forever. How do you choose???
QB: I love Matt, have his jersey, loved his success, but gotta go with Dave Krieg. Dave could win a game for you by himself. Matt tries, but he doesn't have that magic Krieg had.
HB: we really haven't had one. Warner, Alexander, Warren and...
I withdraw Gino Torretta from my list. Thought we drafted him but research confirms he was ViQueen first. Also NFL europe and 69ers.
I humbly apologize. Actually Gino did wee for himself after football it seems. Good job all for catching my error of inclusion.
He will get college hof...
In time Shauna will likely be honored, but probably not retired number. Not sure if he is HoF either. Now Mack Strong... That's a different story.
Ring of honor and Hof.
Krieg was hated by a lot of fans too. After time passed those emotions change and the numbers do a lot of talking.
Worst Seahawks? If we're including front office I'd have to say Ken Behring for sure. He canned Krieg for Stouffer and McGuire. Ruined what might have been with Mirer. Wasted Kennedy's career. Behring is definitely #1 worst ever.
#2 worst ever for me is Jeramy Stevens for a couple of reasons...
I hate ESPN and Time Warner Cable. Because of no NFL network and no local Seahawks coverage, I heard zero about hill until I checked the web Saturday night.
Unbelievable! Awesome! Draft is totally graded out A now. Offseason is an A. 13-3 now feels possible if we stay healthy.
Can't wait for...
I like your lineup, however, I think you'd be heavily penalized, because you've got 12 offensive guys there.
But the interesting thing is, I think Seattle will split up there snaps on Offense to have a lot of singleback 3 WR with a TE. I kind of think that is why we didn't address RB or FB in...
6'4" 220 is about every QB drafted in the late rounds. More to Hasselbeck's game than his draft position and size.
When you consider that in 34 years, there are only 3 names in Seahawk QB lore, Teel has a LONG way to go.
Also, Hasselbeck, more than Krieg and Zorn, has had the most postseason...
Ha ha. Right on. Don't forget to add Chris Colinsworth's name to that list. The 'new' Madden. Ugh...
Why you lose nothing watching football at a loud bar.
:D
Totally love this thread. Not just because he was wrong on Tatupu and Hill. But because there was zero acknowledgement of our trade with Denver.
Other than Clayton, who eviscerated Denver, no one has mentioned our two 1st rounders next year.
This draft is an A because of Curry, Unger...
This is the same management group that transition tagged Hutchinson to our dismay and ruin. I don't like this move.
:?
Once again we shall play the benevolent team and risk dirty tricks by agents, unmatchable contracts, and vengeance from rivals.
8-)
Time to trust in our front...
